I am so tired of people bashing on Lexus just for being Lexus. They used to make very expensive, boring, isolation-chambers that old people drove around in.
That is no longer the case. Are there better cars in the same classes? Yes. But Lexus is no longer the worst at everything. The public still treats them like Hyundai/Kia from about 10 years ago.
Sigh...

You’ve been hanging out on Jalopnik too long. Lexus may be known for a lot of things, but “the worst at everything” was definitely not something they’re known for.

In fairness his class is usually about four or six trucks, and he’s usually the only one with factory support.
Still awesome though

Don’t be so literal.
Sarcasm and hyperbole. I use them often.
And, if the comments around here are any indication of the perception of the Lexus brand, then I’m not that far off.

Jalops live in a weird fantasy world basically divorced from automotive market realities. It’s why we believe the brown manual diesel station wagon is the holy grail of automotive products.

so whats the difference between the lexus and the toyota (non-racing versions?) aside from maybe some extra chrome and leather, actually the LC is full of that stuff, so just different body panels?

The Jalopnik buyers guide on the LX sorts it all out but for the most part its:
Softer leather
different dash
AHC (automatic ride-height control)
Different sound system
Uglier exterior
